Rules
general
i. respect both the staff and other players at all times.ii. this game is rated pg-13 and is considered an intermediate-advanced role play. while not prevalent, there will be some mature situations and language that may not be acceptable to young players. use appropriate caution.
iii. keep all personal non-game related issues out of the game. if you have a problem with another player, please notify the staff and we will help you work through it... but do not take matters into your own hand.
iv. only horses-like mythicals are allowed to play at this game. these include: pegasus, unicorn, unipeg, centaur, hippogriff, kelpie, nightmare, etc.
v. please be active. if you cannot maintain your characters, don't join them
vi. all levels of experience are allowed. we encourage improvement and advancement in role playing. any discrimination or rudeness to new players or beginners will be punished.
vii. if you are "away" you can only be marked as away (ie position protected) for 3 weeks. after 3 weeks have passed, if you have not returned, you may be removed from the board. if there is a VALID reason that you will be gone longer, you must notify a staff member first.
viii. we are implementing the 3 strikes, you're out rule. if you break the rules, we will give you only 2 warnings, and on the third warning, you will be banned. I am tired of dealing with drama and fights, and this is a preventative measure to keep it from happening. please remember, various offenses call for different consequences, which are determined by a panel of staff members on a situational basis.
gameplay
i. all posts must be at least 200 words. we are an intermediate-advanced role play game. while we will allow beginners to play, if you cannot write an appropriate length of post, you will be asked to leave.ii. you may not roleplay another member's character without their documented (written) permission.
iii. no powerplaying (you cannot write that someone's character did something unless you have an OOC agreement with that person). this also means that you cannot attack or kill another person's character without both players being in agreement.
iv once accepted, you may begin posting in your respective territory.
v. YOUR CHARACTERS CANNOT KNOW WHAT THE OTHER SIDE IS THINKING! so, if you are plotting in the dark lands to attack the light lands, the only way that the light lands would know is if they have embedded a spy in the dark lands. as the player, you can obviously see what is going on in the other land, but your characters ONLY know what they have seen or been told first hand.
vi. you cannot switch sides unless you are captured and decide to join your captors.
vii. foals and young horses may choose a permanent side when they turn 2. after the choice is made, you cannot switch sides unless you are captured and decide to join your captors.
viii. you cannot post in enemy territory unless you are captured and brought in as a prisoner
ix. in this game, stallions and mares are equal. there is no 'claiming' allowed. we do allow pairings and 'mates', but these relationships will be developed by individual players throughout their regular role play process.
x. we promote creative use of plots, as long as they stay within the guidelines and rules of the game.
breeding
i. a character must be at least 2 years old to breedii. long breeding is allowed. keep posts pg-13.
iii. a foal may only be conceived and born during the times listed for breeding on the main page.
iv. a female may only be forcebred if both players agree ooc.
v. you decide the stats of your foal, however, twins are ONLY allowed throug the use of the Double Elixir.
vi. foals under 1 year old must stay with their mother (if she gets captured, the foal goes too).
Fighting
i. all battles are role played. if you don't know how, learn. the players must agree on terms of the fight.ii. pregnant mares cannot fight. mares that have just given birth also cannot fight.
iii. characters must be 2 years old to fight in Sidhion. however, a character can begin sparring at Castiel when they turn 1 year old.
Battles and Challenges take place at Sidhion. Sparring and Training take place at Castiel. See each board for specific information.
Stealing
i. a character must be at least 1 year old to be stolen or to write steals.ii. each side is only allowed 2 steals per week (new week will start Sunday), whether or not they are successful in those steals.
iii. steals are generally made by those in the "trickster" ranks
iv. each side is allowed only 3 guesses for a steal, and they must earn at least 6 points/10 for the steal to be caught. admin will have the final say in whether or not a steal is valid.
v. when a steal is made, it must be caught within 72 hours (make sure to check the timestamp). if you have not been caught in that time, you may post for success approval.
vi. you may be as creative as you'd like, however we do not allow foreign languages or codes (example selrknalekrnalkesrna). poetry, symbols, colors, etc may be used.
vii. every steal must include somewhere in it the name of the horse, and their rank. you are able to put them in riddle form, but the steal must be clear enough when revealed to pass our inspection.
viii. your character's name must be posted in the "name" field.
ix. when blocking a steal, you must reveal why you think the steal is for a certain character
x. players that have access to both steal boards CANNOT guess steals. We will check ip addresses to ensure that this doesn't happen.
